Wool, Warp, and WheelWe began our business as a Civil War Sutlery. Originally, we sold period-crafted items to the reenactors. We were often asked where we got the materials to produce our goods, so we expanded our offerings to include materials and some basic tools. Requests then came for instruction, so we began to teach. People would often ask, "Where's your shop?" We answered, "Right here!" As any fiber enthusiast knows, eventually the hobby overtakes you. With two fiber people in the same house, it didn't take long for the inevitable to occur. We talked about getting a storefront, and each developed our own set of requirements. Our "ideal" store would have stone walls and a fireplace. As you can imagine, finding a commercial property that met these requirements was almost impossible. But, God has his plan. |
