Kim & Patty's Cafe To Be Featured On America's Best Restaurants

Local restaurant Kim & Patty’s Cafe will be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants (ABR) in mid-March 2024.

America’s Best Restaurants – a national media and marketing company focusing on bringing attention to local, independently-owned restaurants – will bring its ABR Roadshow to the restaurant on March 19th. 

Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owner Kim Ribar about the restaurant’s special place in the community. The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date.

Open since 2010, Kim & Patty’s Cafe offers American diner classics in a cozy setting that honors those who have served in the military or are first responders. Flags of each branch hang from the ceiling, framed photos of service men and women line the walls, and veterans can use a discount card on meals. 

While the menu offers an array of breakfast omelets, benedicts, skillets, sandwiches and salads, popular menu items include the homemade potato chips, served with each wrap and sandwich; the Southwest chorizo skillet, homemade chicken salad, and homemade soups. They won the Best Spot for Soup in 2017 in McHenry County. They have specialty cocktails and catering, as well. 

“Coming into our restaurant is like sitting in your kitchen chatting with your best friend,” the website states. 

America’s Best Restaurants will be filming on location soon and the restaurant’s finished episode premiere date will be announced on their Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website.
