Alpaca season is coming soon – and it’s every bit as wholesome as it sounds. Magic Meadows Alpacas in Wonder Lake is welcoming visitors for its sixth season, offering a close-up experience with their award-winning Suri alpacas. Imagine hand-feeding these gentle, curious creatures, capturing the cutest spring photos.

Sessions start in May and are by reservation only – no walk-ins – with limited spots that fill quickly. Weekend sessions run at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2 p.m.; while weekdays offer two flexible sessions per day. Each visit lasts about 45 minutes and includes feeding the female alpacas, visiting the males and chatting with knowledgeable staff eager to answer all your alpaca questions.

Pro tip: Dress for the pasture (think sensible shoes) and plan ahead, there are no public restrooms on site.
